How to Vote
Nothing changes unless you do something.
Voting is the most direct way to participate in OX Labs DAO governance. Each proposal that gets submitted can be supported, rejected, or vetoed by token holders.
This guide shows you how to vote in under 2 minutes using Realms.
What You Need
A Solana wallet connected to Realms
At least 1 OXLABS token in your wallet
Access to the live proposal page
There is no cost to vote. Your tokens are not locked or spent when voting.
Step-by-Step Guide
Review Active Proposals
Go to the OX Labs DAO page on Realms and open the Proposals tab. Browse through all proposals labeled Active to see what’s currently open for voting.

Analyze Proposal Details
Click on a proposal and carefully review:
Description – Understand the proposal’s purpose, goals, and potential impact
Instructions (if executable) – See the on-chain actions that will be executed if it passes (e.g., treasury transfers, parameter updates)
Community Discussion – Read debates and comments from other DAO members
Voting Status – Check how much time remains and the current vote distribution

Cast Your Vote
Scroll down and choose your stance:
Yes – You support the proposal as written
No – You oppose the proposal
Veto – (Optional) If the proposal is spammy or harmful, you can veto to block it
Your voting power is determined by your $OXLABS holdings (for Community Votes) or $OXCOUNCIL token (for Council Votes).

Confirm Your Vote Transaction
Finalize your vote by signing the transaction in your wallet:
Voting Weight – Calculated automatically based on your token balance or delegated power
Network Fee – A small Solana transaction fee applies (typically negligible)
Reversible – You can change or withdraw your vote at any time during the voting period (including during the Cool-Off Phase).
Once submitted, your vote is immediately recorded on-chain.

Voting Phases
Each proposal goes through two stages:
Open Voting
First 22 hours
Anyone with OXLABS can vote Yes or No
Cool-off Period
Final 2 hours
Yes voting is disabled. You can change your vote to No, remove your vote, or Veto
Once the 24-hour cycle ends, the result is finalized.
How a Proposal Passes
A proposal is approved if:
At least 60% of votes are Yes
Minimum quorum (based on circulating supply) is reached
No veto threshold (80% No) is met
If these conditions are not met, the proposal fails automatically.
What Happens to Your Tokens When You Vote?
When you participate in OX Labs DAO voting:
Your tokens are not spent. They are temporarily locked into the Realms smart contract.
After the vote ends, your tokens remain locked, but you can withdraw them at any time.
While locked, your tokens still count toward your voting power, but cannot be transferred, sold, or staked elsewhere until withdrawn.
How to Withdraw Your Tokens
Go to the OX Labs DAO page on Realms.
Click "Connect Wallet" in the top right corner.
Navigate to the "Your Deposits" tab.
Find your locked tokens and click "Withdraw".
Approve the transaction in your wallet.
Your tokens will instantly return to your wallet and become fully usable again.
Note: Withdrawing your tokens does not cancel your past votes. You’ll simply need to deposit again if you wish to vote in future proposals.
Tips Before Voting
Read the entire proposal, not just the title
Check if it includes funding requests or structural changes
Ask questions in Telegram if something isn’t clear
Voting early is recommended to avoid missing deadlines
